Coming Soon! Tardy Alerts Featured Photo

Coming Soon! Tardy Alerts

Spartans, thank you for taking your learning seriously! Over the course of the first semester, LCHS students have shown improvement arriving to class on time and ready to learn, and our numbers of students tardy to class have decreased. But we're still committed to having every student being in class on time.

Starting in Semester 2, LCHS will be piloting a new feature in Aeries, alerting parents when students are marked tardy to class. Similar to the phone call alerts generated when students are absent, parents will now get one phone call noting the period(s) when the student was tardy.

Why send these alerts? These calls support LCHS's class attendance policy. Awareness is our goal: as we partner with LCHS families, we're committed to ensuring that students are safe, supervised, and dedicated to showing up and doing their best in class.

Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!  My name is Mr. Jason Ito, and I am thrilled to be your principal.  I previously served La Cañada High School as an assistant principal for three years and am now lucky enough to be the principal of this phenomenal school.

As you enter campus, soak in all that LCHS has to offer.  I challenge you to go outside your comfort zone and try something new. The four years of high school are a time to explore and experience new things that you may not have considered before.  Whether that is joining one of our exceptional Visual and Performing Arts programs, joining a CIF championship caliber sports team, or serving your fellow Spartans in ASB, LCHS has something for everyone.
As you accept my challenge to find something new, I also would like you to enter this school year with the mindset to “Arrive with Curiosity, Leave with Purpose.”  This is not only an aspirational mission of a student’s four years at LCHS, it is also a daily call to action to come to school with an inquisitive mind and to leave the day filled with purpose to serve your community.

To support your curiosity and sense of purpose, LCHS provides a world-class education.  The staff at LCHS are here not only to fill your mind with amazing instructional content, but more importantly, to help you apply that content to become a better person and to make our community a better place.
Please feel free to stop by the office to say hello and if I see you out on campus, I would love to get to know you.  I look forward to seeing you all on campus and for a memorable school year!
Go Spartans!
